Vinnie Carrano

Vinny Carrano served four years in the Marine Corps Infantry. His four years of service ended in 2011 and that August he was enrolled as a freshman at Penn State University. In his time at Penn State, he was a leader in the THON community and the president of the Criminal Justice Club.

Vinny graduated in 2015 and took his passion with THON and started his career with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as a Campaign Manager for their annual stair climb event, Big Climb Philly. Over his time in Philadelphia he became a Co-Leader for November Project Philly, and also currently is a trainer at Everybody Fights Boxing Gym.

Today, Vinny is the Director of Development & Engagement for the Emily Whitehead Foundation and building their Philadelphia Chapter. Their mission at the foundation is to provide less toxic treatments to pediatric cancer patients through CAR T-Cell Therapy with a goal of a cure.
